A cover it’s the recording of a song
that was previously recorded or made popular by another artist. There are some famous
bands that perform covers of other artists for showing their respect for the other
band. Some others just performs the song for giving them a different sound.
Nowadays covers are used for
unknown artist as a way of being famous. Thanks to new social medias now there’s people
who’s only job is to record covers, they are called cover bands.
Now a new kind of band has been created.
Those are called cover bands and they only perform covers of other artists
in their concerts and in their albums. Some examples of cover bands are Against
the Current or in Spain D-Versiones.
Most of the artists that now are famous
started singing covers in Vine or Youtube, just like Shawn Mendes or Cody
Simpson. Some famous people perform covers in their concert for filling
up the time or cheering up the audience.
In talent shows, or reality shows, they
use covers for knowing if the contestants are good enough to continue in
the show. So instead of composing a new song they sing a famous one so
everyone, judges and audience, can compare their version with the original one.
